Strong women who dare to follow their dreams in their work life and private life is a true inspiration at Notabene. It is the women who inspire us in their own special ways with their willpower, abilities and skills. We have asked these women where they find their inspiration, what has lead them to where they are today and what gets them out of bed in the morning. Get to know Agent and Co-founder of Moon Mgmt, Anja Gildum, through these five essential questions, and see her favourites from the current collection.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Ballet, yoga classes or my two daughters Rita and Susan who have to get out of the door and go to school.

What characterizes your life right now?

Busyness at work, calmness at home ☺

How do you find your work/life balance?

I find it really difficult but I have practiced a lot of yoga in recent years and without trying to sound too elevated, I can say that it really helps me to keep calm and to separate my work time and private time. I think I have improved at not being occupied with work when I am with my children or friends, even though it still happens sometimes – I think that when you run your own company it will naturally take up a lot of your time.

Has there been a turning point, which has helped define the woman you are today?

Yes - or maybe it’s not a turning point. But my husband and my two girls and our time in Paris is definitely a big part of who I am today. (I met my husband in Tokyo but he is from Paris where we have lived together for 15 years before moving to Copenhagen two and a half years ago.)

What inspires you these days?

Colour and quality inspires me. I guess I am quite classic when it comes to trends. I have a ”basic style” that moves a bit in different directions – depending on the current trends. It is extremely important for me to buy products of good quality and I generally keep my things for a very long time.

I am also very inspired by sustainability. I know that it has become so trendy to mention sustainability but it is something that I have believed in for a long time and something that I try to incorporate both at home and in my business. It is a difficult thing to live by when you work in the fashion industry but I am sure that we will succeed both environmentally but also from a humane point of view.
